Day 01 – Welcome to an adventure in paradise

Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, Sri Lanka. You will be received with typical warm Sri Lankan hospitality by our local tour representative. Enjoy a refreshing cup of Ceylon Tea and proceed to your Hotel in Kitulgala. Day 02 – White water rafting thrills at Kitulgala

Fuel up at breakfast and embark on a rafting excursion!

Unforgettable fun with your friends, in an exciting rafting ride through breathtaking water streams, tucked into the wilderness of Kitulgala. You will work up a ravenous appetite slipping and sliding among the rocks, and a good thing that is too. A sumptuous lunch awaits, followed by further excursions into prehistoric Sri Lanka. An approximately 1km trek will bring you to the Kitulgala Belilena cave where 16,000-year-old skeletal remains and historic tools of Homo sapiens balangodensis were uncovered during archaeological excavations.

Day 03 – Waterfalls and tea legacy of misty Haputale

Breakfast at the Hotel in Kitulgala and proceed to Haputale. A stopover by the Upper Diyaluma falls will enable you to trek your way to the top of the 2nd highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 6th highest in the world. Needless to say, such heights of majestic beauty command an absolutely unforgettable view. Graceful Diyaluma acquires a horse tail shape at the Pungala Oya, a tributary of Kuda Oya, and plunges down Koslanda plateau in a single breathtaking drop. Perfect for a full day of adventure, the area offers multiple falls and natural pools throughout the hike.

Refresh back at the hotel and prepare for an exploration into the tea legacy of Ceylon. Dambatenna Tea Factory was built in 1890 by Sir Thomas Lipton, one of the most famous figures in tea history. Probably the most comprehensive tea factory tour around, the tour through the works is an education on the processes involved in fermentation, rolling, drying, cutting, sieving, and grading of tea, concluded by the inevitable and warmly welcomed signature cup of Ceylon tea.

Day 04 – Scenic Horton Plains and tousling mountains

After breakfast, proceed to Horton plains.

Steeped in mist rolling from the mountains, amid ice-cold streams, is Horton Plains – Sri Lanka’s windiest location. Horton plains is a plateau of breathtaking scenic beauty, replete with trails along a forest, national park, and grasslands, leading down to World’s End – a magnificent cliff drop of 800 meters. The incredible view from the World’s End is something that will stay with you for life – provided you beat the clouds to it!

A short trail across the beautiful plains that is home to an array of flora and fauna will bring you to Baker’s Falls, another mesmerizing waterfall in Sri Lanka.

Following your escapade in Horton Plains, head over to Nuwara Eliya, for a round of golf at the Golf Club or a mountain bike ride enjoying the scenic pleasures and hidden gems of this hill town amid lush greenery, sweeping mists, and rolling hills dotted with distant waterfalls.

Day 05 – Enjoy city life in Colombo

Have breakfast in the hotel and proceed to Colombo.

The commercial capital of Sri Lanka is a riot of taste, sound, experience, and sensation. As diverse as the many locals who call it home, you will find fun and frolic side by side with serenity and calm in this tropical city.

Colombo offers a wide array of options for any experience, be it dining, leisure, accommodation, or shopping. The builtscape and culture are marked by Dutch and British colonial influences of bygone eras.

Some landmarks of your Colombo tour will include; the President’s House and Chatham Street Clock Tower, Old Dutch Hospital now converted to a shopping and dining complex, Galle Face Green, the colourful Pettah shopping bazaar, the Gangaramaya Temple housing Buddhist artifacts from all over the world, National Museum depicting Sri Lanka’s historical and cultural heritage, the Independence Memorial Hall styled after a typical medieval Kandyan audience hall, the Independence Museum and the iconic Town Hall Building.

Numerous cultural and entertainment events such as art festivals, cultural and musical shows, exhibitions, drama, and food festivals take place between Viharamahadevi Open Air Art Gallery, Green Path, Lionel Wendt Art Gallery, Nelum Pokuna, Fairway Street, and Chatham Street Colombo. We will help you make the most of this diversity.

After a day of exploring Colombo city go to your hotel in Negombo and turn in for the night.

Day 06 – Farewell from Negombo

Have breakfast and relax at the hotel till it’s time to leave this paradise island.
